Today is a beautiful day. Snow is all around. At least it is selfishly perfect for me, that is I can stay at home watching heavily falling flakes while solving my daily issues.
But I should say I am really surprised because some tube lines are having problems and now are interrupted and even flights are delayed and cancelled because of the weather. No school classes. Plus, yesterday was the fourth tube strike and today another student protest against increasing tuition fees. Government oversight or simply "winter" complications?
I should say today is a standstill and difficult day - but still strangely beautiful.
Hoy es un día hermoso. Hay nieve en todas partes. Por lo menos para mí es egoístamente perfecto, ya que me puedo quedar en casa viendo los copos de nieve caer pesadamente mientras resuelvo los problemas de todos los días.
Pero debería decir también que estoy sorprendida porque las líneas de metro están teniendo problemas para circular y están interrumpidas, e incluso hay vuelos retrasados y cancelados por el tiempo. No hay clases en las escuelas. Sumado a que ayer fue la cuarta huelga de metro y hoy hay otra protesta estudiantil por el aumento de las matrículas educativas. Descuidos del gobierno o simplemente complicaciones "invernales"?
Debería decir que hoy es un día difícil y paralizado, pero de todas formas extrañamente hermoso.
